Following graduation and passing the Hawaii
State Bar, I worked for a law firm that specialized in estate planning
and probate matters for about 2 years and then opened my own practice
focusing on the same legal services.
As a law student, I was
involved with an elder law class in which we had a project to visit a
variety of retirement homes and facilities. In addition, we researched
these facilities as if we were going to have a family member live at
them. We read numerous state reports about specific retirement homes,
and even a large number of abuse reports. I always keep that experience
in mind, remembering that the ongoing focus and my ultimate goal is to
ensure that my clients are very well taken care of and that I do
everything possible to safeguard their needs.
I don't really have a
style or pattern that I always go by. Different clients have different
personalities and needs. All I try to do is keep the client as
informed as possible about what I am doing for them. My goal is to make
my clients feel comfortable with the entire process and to let them
know that I am working diligently for them to meet their goals and give
them peace of mind.
Personal interests: (Our boy Darby)
There's a lot in
life that I enjoy doing such as taking my dog for walks with my wife,
playing basketball with my brother and friends, taking my mother
shopping, babysitting my niece, making home improvements (at least
trying my best not to make things worse), and cooking for my wife.
